Lectures and Interviews

·        Attorney Gil Nadel gave a lecture in early July in the Customs house of Ashdod, on the topic of: "The importer's viewpoint regarding the release of goods from Customs".

·        Attorney Gil Nadel gave a lecture in mid July before an audience of UPS clients, on the topic of: Drawback claim as per sub-clause 156 of the Customs Directive, and release under classification 212 of the Customs tariff.

·        Attorney Gil Nadel gave a lecture in June before airline cargo administrators on the topic of the liabilities of air forwarders and cargo terminals for damages to cargo.

·        Attorney Gil Nadel gave a lecture at a "Science and Theory" convention at Bar Ilan University on the topic of "import laws from the viewpoint of non-Kosher food".

Courts

·        Our office is representing a number of food importers in a number of class actions that were submitted against them for product marking. Some of the actions have been concluded with settlements with convenient terms for the importers.

·        Our office has recently submitted a lawsuit against the Customs Authority, regarding the classification of electronic parts used in the manufacture of controllers.

·        Our office has recently submitted a lawsuit against the Customs Authority regarding the classification of tripods.

Miscellaneous

·        In early July we held an office event at the Safari in Ramat Gan.
