Recently, the Customs Authority accepted the stance of a client of our offices regarding the classification of towing cables and ruled that their classification should not be as cables of the sort that serve a motor vehicle.
Recently, the Administrator of Trade Excises in the Ministry of Trade, Commerce, and Industry, accepted the stance of clients of our offices- local iron manufacturers- and place a duty to deposit a temporary guarantee on the import of polygonal iron to Israel. The Court for Administrative Affairs of Tel Aviv recently issued a intermediate order (under agreement) according to which the petitioners- tourists- could continue to use cars imported to Israel over a year ago, which were produced in Europe according to American standards, without realizing guarantees given to Customs to guarantee the payments of taxes for the cars, until a verdict is given on the petition.
