Our office is handling the preparation of a complaint on behalf of a textile manufacturer against import at dumping prices.
The Ministry of Agriculture accepted the stance of a client of our offices, the Agricultural Equipment section of the Chambers of Commerce, and ruled that meeting the requirements of the OECD regarding tractor quality will not constitute a condition to receive an import license.
The Customs Authority accepted the stance of a client of our offices, an importer of aluminum products, and granted an almost complete exemption from payment of import tax differences, in light of the importer meeting the conditions of paragraph 3 to the VAT Law.
The Courts
Our offices filed an action against Haifa Port for refund of warehousing payments for warehousing a container that temporarily disappeared in the port. The importer claims that the port should be seen as responsible for the disappearance of the container and therefore the importer should not be obliged to pay warehousing fees.
